The California born star started his acting career in 1995 starring in, mostly, small TV roles.

The early 2000’s saw him star in independent films such as Dahmer and Neo Ned, he also had a small role in the bigger budget film S.W.A.T.

In 2007 he starred in the popular 28 Weeks Later and was becoming a more familiar face in the acting world but his big break was yet to come.

The Hurt Locker was released in 2008 and Jeremy played the protagonist Sergeant First Class William James. His performance was amazing and earned him an Academy Awards nomination for Best Actor.

He starred alongside Ben Affleck in The Town in 2010 and his performance as James Coughlin earned him another Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

From then on he was propelled into the acting world with force, starring in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol alongside Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg in 2011 and one of the biggest movies of all time – Avengers Assemble as Hawkeye.

The incredibly good looking 41-year-old will star as Aaron Cross in the fourth instalment of the Bourne series, The Bourne Legacy, which hits screens on Monday.

2013 will see him star in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters as Hansel alongside Gemma Arterton who will play his sister Gretel.

Another Mission Impossible has been announced and it is rumoured that Jeremy will reprise his role as William Brandt. It has also been rumoured that his character, Hawkeye, from Avengers Assemble will have his own movie although nothing has been confirmed.

I think I speak for the female population when I say that his next film should be one where he’s topless for most of it and is continually flexing those biceps.
