Since it came out that Harry Styles takes quite a fancy to the older woman, it seems that women everywhere have no problem admitting that they wouldn’t mind getting their hands on a toy boy of their own.
New research shows that women are taking to dating men considerably younger than themselves.
Extra marital affairs website IllicitEncounters.com has found that 61% of its cheating female members have had an affair with a younger man.
But how young is too young? Fifteen per cent of woman said they’d had an affair with someone 15 years their junior.
But the most common age gap between women and their toy boys is 5-10 years with 22 per cent of women said that they had fallen into that category.
Rosie Freeman Jones, spokesperson for Illicit Encounters says, “Women's libido increases with age, whereas men's tends to peak in the 20s. I think this could go some way to explaining this growing trend of cougars with toy boys.
“The likelihood is that our female members are married to men whose sex drive is slowly tailing off, and they are becoming increasingly frustrated. They choose to meet a guy who's younger simply because they feel he'll be better equipped to keep up!”
The survey also included married men and found that they see the older woman more appealing.
Fifty seven per cent of men admitted to having an affair with a woman who was older than themselves and 24 per cent had said they had affairs with women between 5 and 10 years older than themselves.
Men were more likely to have affairs with women who were 3 to 5 years older than themselves.
So ladies, next time you find yourself gazing at a younger man and thinking you’d like to rip his shirt off, don’t feel so bad!
