Do You Know Your Partner's Occupation?

To coincide with the DVD release of spy series Covert Affairs: Series 1 Universal Playback surveyed 8,000 people about how well they know their current or most recent partners occupation, and the results were quite a treat.

Men proved that they rarely listen to women as 46 per cent of them said they had no idea what their partner’s job entailed and 16 per cent of women listed this as the reason that they did not talk to their partner about Work.

Women fared slightly better as only 27 per cent of them could not recite what their partner’s job entailed, with 14 per cent of men saying they didn’t talk about their Work because they don’t like to talk about it.

Unbelievably, 2 per cent of those surveyed didn’t have a clue about what their partner’s occupation even was; let alone what their job entailed.

To add to that, 12 per cent of singles claimed that they didn’t know what their previous partner’s had done for work.

The survey also showed that lawyers were the most indiscreet professionals, as three in ten of them admitted to sharing sensitive information with their partners.

Doctors came second to this with 1 in 10 saying that they’ve revealed more than they should about their work to their partners.

Police Officers were seen to really uphold the law, with only 1 per cent of them saying they had shared information they shouldn’t have with a partner.

Well, this survey gave evidence to what we knew all along, men don’t listen to women and women like to pester men about what line of work they’re in. Unexpectedly, it shows that 2 per cent of the population couldn’t care less!

Covert Affairs Series 1 is available now on DVD and legal download.
