Carrey has been married twice. His first marriage was to Melissa Womer who was a waitress at the Comedy Store and former actress. The pair married on 28th 1987 and later divorced in 1995.

In 1996, Carrey married Lauren Holly, who starred with him in Dumb and Dumber on 23rd September 1996. Their marriage only lasted a year.

Carrey was romantically involved with Laurie Holden, January Jones and Annie Bing.
1999
Carey had a very short relationship with his co-star on Me, Myself and Irene, Renee Zellweger and the pair got engaged.
2005
Carrey began dating actress Jenny McCarthy and finally confirmed that they were an item in in 2006. Five years later the separated however McCarthy stated afterwards that they were still good friends.
