Enjoy a bath with your partner while mulling over the day's event

When we look at old pictures and listen to stories of years gone by, couples always hashed out their problems and talked about their day over the dinner table. Ideal Standard, has found that this is a redundant way to avoid ‘conscious uncoupling’. Brits are spending more of their time together in another room in the house- the bathroom. They found that half of couples now share a bathroom of an evening rather than an evening meal.
18-34 year olds are particularly partial to a bit of bathroom chatter.
It would seem that bathroom bashfulness is a thing of the past with only ten percent now locking the bathroom door. So we take a look at the activities couples do together in the bathroom while catching up on the daily gossip!

Taking a tinkle (or more)- I must admit I thought this would take the mystery out of any relationship, however with these stats clearly I am in a minority for thinking this!

Sharing a bath together- With a glass of wine and bubbles- this I can get on board with- a relaxing hot tub of water, alcohol, your partner’s embrace and good conversation. Bliss.

Brushing your teeth- At the same time might prove to be a waste, but while your partner has his brush jammed in his mouth he has no excuse but to listen!

Taking a shower- Now, there might not be as much talking as there is moaning when you get together under the falling water, but everyone knows sex is an important part of any loving relationship, so why not take it out of the bedroom?

Weighing each other- Normally a solo activity in my world but if you are both waiting to shed the pounds and working together to do so, it’s a great way to keep each other motivated and on track!
Ideal Standard's Bathroom Behaviours Specialist, Jenny Smith, said: "For many couples the bathroom is much more than just a place to have a quick shower and clean your teeth and is the key to a successful relationship because it is a place to relax, refresh, and have a good natter. We've found that increasing numbers of people are looking at how to make their bathrooms even more couple-friendly and 'his and hers' dual basin, baths  big enough for two and dual showers are becoming increasingly popular, as couples consciously adapt their bathroom to boost the staying power of their relationship."
