They began dating after being each other’s love interests in Slumdog Millionaire in 2009. On December 10th 2014, the pair announced that they had split after six years of being a couple.
Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy
The pair began seeing one another in 2010 and in February 2011, Hudson bought a house in London and a Daily Mail source revealed that she would be living with Bellamy 6 months of the year. They got engaged in April 2011 and have a son together, born in July 2011. On December 9th the couple announced that they had ended their engagement.
Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow
They are the first celebrity couple in history to announce a ‘conscious uncoupling’, which happened in March 2014 after 10 years of marriage.
Rita Ora and Calvin Harris
The couple began their romance in May 2013, but by June 1014, they had called it a day.
Jamie Bell and Evan Rachel Wood
The pair met while filming for a Green Day video for ‘Wake me up when September ends’. After a year as a couple they broke things off. Five years later in 2011, they managed to rekindle their relationship and got married in a small ceremony on 30th October 2012. They had a son born in 2013, however in May 2014; they announced that they had separated once more.
Russell Brand and Jemima Khan
Brand hinted that he was in a relationship in September 2013 in a Guardian article. In mid-September there was a picture posted of him and Khan in New York City. In an interview with Jonathan Ross in January 2014, he gushed, telling the audience he was ‘very, very happy’ in his new relationship. In May 2014, The Sun printed a story saying that Brand had cheated on Khan and their relationship ended in September 2014.
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton
The pair met at 14 in an under 21 hip hop club called Balistyx in Los Angeles. He asked her to dance to Stevie Wonder’s Jungle Fever and they subsequently got together when they were 16. They married in 2005 and have a son together, Julian Fuego Thicke, who was born in 2010. They separated in February 2014 after nice years of marriage and Patton filed for divorce on 9th October 20014.
Emma Watson and Matt Janney
Watson began dating Janney in 2014, however in September; there were photographs of Watson moving out his things from her home in London. A spokesperson said that they had ended things amicably in November, that they had never lived together and that the split was due to her ‘unrelenting work schedule.’
Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie
The pair began dating in 2007 and announced their engagement in February 2012. They got married on 14th August 2010 in Santa Barbara, California and had a son two years later, Luca Cruz. The pair announced their split in 10th January 2014, however they agreed to still co parent their son.
Uma Thurman and Apra Busson
They started dating in 2007 and announced that they were engaged in 2008, however called it off in late 2009. They managed to reconcile soon after their split and had a daughter together Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Atalune Florence in 2012. In April 2014, the couple called of their engagement for a second time.
