Ben Affleck turns 42 today, born on the 15th August 1972- so we have a look back over his time with some of Hollywood’s leading ladies before settling down with actress Jennifer Garner.
In 1998, Affleck dated Gwyneth Paltrow after her break up with Brad Pitt, which was heavily followed by the press.
After their break up he began dating singer Jennifer Lopez, while they filmed Gigli together in 2002. The pair got engaged in the same year and planned their wedding for September 2004, however split, placing the blame on all the media attention that came their way while they were together.
There were rumours that this happened after Affleck was seen with some lap dancers in Vancouver with actor Christian Slater.
While filming Daredevil, her met Jennifer Garner and they became engaged after only nine months of being together. Affleck proposed to Garner on her 33rd Birthday with a 4.5 carat diamond ring by Harry Winston.
The couple were first seen together at the Boston Red Sox’s opening world series.
They married on 29th June 2005 in the Caribbean and now have three children: Violet, born in December 2005, Seraphina, born on January 2009 and Samuel born in February 2012.Garner was four months pregnant when they got hitched.
They live between their four homes in Los Angeles, Massachusetts, New York and Savannah.
