What's Your Other Half Getting Up To On Stag Dos?

Marriage season is in full swing, and although Stag and Hen Parties are about letting your hair down before the marriage, some are taking it too far and making it a night to forget, rather than remember.

The leading extra marital affairs website IllicitEncounters.com found that 36 per cent of men on their partners on Stag Dos.

Shockingly, 11 per cent of men have cheated on their own Stag Do.

Steve, 31, a member of Illicit Encounters says, “The first time I cheated it was on a Stag Do. We all went to Prague and had a great time, lots of other hen dos were happening out there and a lot of us took advantage of the many hens out to have a good time too.

“The ‘what goes on tour stays on tour’ mantra comes out and it being in a different place and scenario than the mundane back home it’s exciting and somehow doesn’t seem to count.

“When I returned home I felt deflated; I missed the excitement and thrill so after some consideration decided I needed another woman more full-time to make my marriage work. I’ve been on the site for nearly a year now and haven’t looked back.”

It’s not just men though, 16 per cent of women have said they have cheated on a Hen Do, with 3 per cent of them cheating on their own Hen Do.

Olivia, 29, a member of Illicit Encounters says, “All of my friends have been getting married over the last few years, so as a result there's been a hell of a lot of Hen parties! It's been lots of fun. I've only just joined Illicit Encounters, have chatted with a handful of gorgeous guys and am excited for my first date next Thursday.

“I've been married for 5 years. I was one of the first of my friends to tie the knot and whilst I enjoyed playing housewife for the first few years I've grown to feel very undervalued. I drunkenly snogged a random guy on a night out with the girls 2 years ago; I put it down to a blip and didn't let my husband know of my slip up.

“Since then though there has been a series of hen dos where I've taken advantage of being able to get away from my husband and have fun with a bunch of my close friends. My friends sympathise with my situation and understand that I just want to let my hair down and feel sexy and wanted again.

“I've cheated 3 times whilst on hen dos, I felt guilty the first time but now I see it that my husband has made this happen due to his lack of attempts to make love. I love the life I have with my husband but we've become more like friends and less like a couple as the years have gone on. I don't want to leave him but I want to feel desired again.”

Rosie Freeman-Jones, spokesperson for Illicit Encounters says, “It seems that on Stag and Hen Dos, the traditional rules that govern people's decision's no longer apply – in fact, Stags and Hens almost go out of their way to behave badly, whether by drinking more than they can handle, or pushing the boundaries of their relationship.  Those who wouldn't normally cheat might get swept away by the festivities – but once that fidelity seal is broken, it can difficult to return to married life.”

Stag and Hen Parties are all about having a good time, but does that mean you have to cheat? Like Rosie says, once you’ve eaten from the tree of temptation, it’s hard to look back.
