What is it?

This app was created by universal to coincide with the release of the film Couples Retreat and it is aimed at helping you understand your partner better.

If you’ve ever wondered what your partner really meant when he said ‘I didn’t mean it’ then this is the app for you.

We’ve all used excuses and told little white lies to our partners but this app is a fun way of finding out what they really mean when telling you they’re going to bed early.

You can type your own comment in or you can browse the ones that are already in the system and take a look at the answers.

We Love:

It’s a really funny app and the idea behind it is genius. We all know that our partners don’t always say what they really mean so it’s nice to have a shot at sussing them out.

Some of the ‘what he really meant’ answers are absolutely hilarious, so if anything, this app is great for a good laugh.

It’s really easy to navigate and get to grips with so you’re faffing about for ages trying to figure out how to work it.

There is a wide range of options to choose from, under different sections so you’ll have a lot of options to translate.

Downfall:

The biggest downfall in this app is that quite often, if you try and input your own ‘he said’, the app won’t recognise the question and won’t provide you with an answer.

Although there are plenty of pre-set ‘he said’ options, what is the point in having the option to input your own if it barely recognises any of them?

Another downfall is that a clip of Couples Retreat plays every time you open the app. Even if your phone is on silent, the clip’s sound will burst from your speakers, which isn’t ideal.

Verdict:

It’s a fun app, really good for some giggles and it’s scarily accurate! The option to input your own queries needs some work and the clip from the beginning needs to be scraped. All in all, it’s a pretty decent app given that it is free, so definitely worth the download.
