Don't "over share" on Facebook- People really don't need to know where you go for dates, what you've bought each other, see selfies of you kissing and PLEASE nothing about the arguments you've had or your sex life.

Don't chat to your partner via LinkedIn or any professional platform- Save it for texts and HOME.

Don't look through your partner's phone- Just trust that you're the only person they would ever want to sext.

Don't post to social media when emotional- If you're having problems- keep them behind closed doors or other people will get involved and they're probably just looking for gossip.

Never send a text or message in anger- Always take a breath and think about how much you hate seeing them hurt. Don't be the person who causes that pain.

Never send a text or message when drunk- You could end up sending a sext to a family member instead of your SO- yikes!

Never post to social media when drunk- Everyone will side with your partner if it's bad.

Always put kisses on texts or emails to your partner- Or they will think you don't love them anymore.

Don't gossip about your partner on text or social media- They will always find out and it looks bad even if it was intended as a joke.

Always text or message if you're going to be late for a social arrangement- No one likes to sit there questioning if they've been stood up by their long term love.

Always wish your SO a happy birthday by text as well as Facebook message and phone call- If you can't be with them make more of an effort than their Facebook 'friends'.

Don't ever text or call about bad news, always do it face to face- You have a responsibility to your partner to tell them and be there to give them a hug and a tissue if they need it.
