Do your Best Friend and Boyfriend Clash?

As much as everyone will try to get along, there are a few times when not everyone you meet will be to your taste.

But what if this is the case for your best friend and boyfriend? What are you meant to do in this situation? You don’t want to choose between them but they can’t be in the same room as one another, putting you in an awkward position.

We’ve got some tips to help you deal with a BFF and BF clash!

Don’t Force It

Forcing them together is one of the worst things that you can do, not only will your boyfriend see it as controlling, but they’ll both feel immense pressure which could lead to them resenting you.

The last thing you want is for both of them to throw in the towel, leaving you without either of them!

Talk to Them

Try and find out why they both have a problem with each other, it could be something really simple that can be easily fixed.

There’s no guarantee that the problem will get resolved, some people just don’t get on, but it’s worth giving it a shot.

Divide your Time

If neither of them is coming round to your way of thinking then the best thing you can do is divide your time.

Make sure that you’re seeing equal amounts of them as much as you can. If your relationship becomes more serious then dedicate certain nights of the week to your best friend so that you don’t drift.

If it Becomes too Much

If you’re getting a hard time from both sides then it can be difficult to know what to do next. They say that men come and go but if you’re serious about each other then it’s not something you’ll want to give up.

A best friend should be for life and if they’re giving you a hard time and refusing to be happy for you then you have to ask if they’re a true friend at all?

Ultimately it’s up to you, but it’s important to remember that your friend will only be looking out for you so it’s worth listening to their advice!
