As it's National Bed Month we thought we would take a look at bedroom offences that are worth dumping your partner for, or at least getting them to sleep in the other room- with SlumberSlumber.com.

Sleeping with the light on

We are all adults here but apparently 4% still sleep with the light on for fear of the monsters under their bed- these sleepers fail to realise that the monster is actually you- once a month when the electricity bill arrives.

Dodgy nightwear

Women take less pride in what they wear to bed now, with many opting for sensible pjs or a baggy nighty, but for those lucky 6% of men- their partner sleeps with nothing but a smile.

Bad sleepers

There is nothing worse than someone who tosses and turns for it can wake you up form a delightful slumber. It does not matter how hot your bedfellow is, interrupting valuable sleep time is a deal breaker.

Not making the bed

It makes an entire room look messy and if your bed is unmade and you invite in your lover it gives the wrong signals. An unmade bed makes for an untidy mind.

Selfish sleeping

For the cold feet stabbers, duvet hoggers, sleep talkers and starfishers we condemn you to a life in the spare room- not even the super king duvet will protect us from your icy toes and night time theft.

Not staying on your side of the bed

Everyone must have a side of the bed otherwise things just get confused. Some don't care- which can be to your advantage, some like the middle- no one likes to be with someone who's indecisive; but more people favour the left side of the bed- now this may need some negotiation and if that means bribery with sex- then so be it.

Dirty sheets

Once a month or less along with one in seven people who admit to this is just not acceptable. Your partner wants to share it with you only- not having a foursome with Mr Bacteria and Mrs Dead Skin Cell.

Snoring

No amount of jabbing, poking, kicking or prodding can stop the snorer- it's difficult to keep up a healthy sex life when you sleep in separate rooms.

Neville Moore, managing director of SlumberSlumber.com, said "If you're looking for love, some simple changes in your bedroom behaviour could make a big difference. If you're a fidget at night time it's probably because you're not sleeping on the right pillow or mattress. If you struggle to keep on top of your mounting washing pile, get another set of bedding - our bedding sets are budget friendly, so there's no excuse for dirty linen.

"Whether you sleep alone or with a partner your bedroom should be a sanctuary for slumber, not a breeding ground for bacteria."
