According to Steve Miller, a leading weight loss expert- women who let their weight soar after getting married only have themselves to blame when their partners have an affair.

He says that the people who normalize obesity are partly responsible for the dissolution of marriages across the UK. The fact is sex lives are often put under a lot of strain when a woman is told to love her fat while her partner can't raise the subject with her.

Many men would rather have an affair than address the subject of their partner's increasing waistline.

He is also concerned that the celebration of plus sized models will encourage more women to head in the direction of diabetes and premature death.

Miller says that he can see why men stray and blames the 'big is beautiful' supporters for this acceptance of an unhealthy lifestyle.

He said: "There are millions of men out there suffering in silence. Many feel repulsed and revolted by their wives' ever increasing girth but most feel they aren't allowed to say so.

"Men aren't as good as women at talking about their feelings and many of them will simply have an affair with a slimmer woman if the opportunity comes along."

"Who can blame them? Nobody wants to make love to the super fat but that is something the big is beautiful brigade can't or won't acknowledge."

"The love that dare not speak its name has become a perfectly understandable need to have a loving relationship with a partner at a healthy weight."

Steve Miller has been called the Simon Cowell of the slimming world for being open and honest about the effects being overweight can have on a relationship. He feels strongly that sometimes fat shaming is the only way to get someone to lose weight.

He suggests that the best way to lose weight is to follow the 80/20 rule- 80% healthy eating and 20% treats. His method has proven successful as he has worked with over 2,000 clients to lose at least 2 stone each.

He doesn't believe in the new bunch of women accepting their bigger size and uses Tess Holliday as an example of someone who can influence women into an early grave.

Steve said: "I have women coming into my clinic time and time again saying as the weight piles on their sex life goes out of the window."

"The reality is; most men don't want an overweight lover so as soon as they begin to get heavier their partner begins to look elsewhere. After all, who wants a fat woman on top of them in the bedroom?"

"The other side, which I hear endlessly, is that their partner is no longer attracted to them and the women just don't feel sexy. Mustering up any enthusiasm for sex is not high on their list of priorities."

"The fat acceptance brigade have a lot to answer for. We all get that they want women to love their fat and embrace their curves - what they're actually saying is eat yourself to an early grave and end up lonely and sad."

"How can this be a healthy mindset for overweight women? What we should be saying and what I'm very pro, is telling them they're fat then giving them the tools to help shift that weight." "The result isn't a fat, depressed lonely woman. Instead it's someone who's being given a second chance to enjoy life without all the risks associated with being obese."
