It worked for Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman in The Change-Up. It only took them to pee in a wish granting fountain and snap, they were in each others bodies living the lives of each other for which they so badly longed for.

Now, more interestingly, if you could stay the same but swap your man for somebody else, would you do that?

Relationships on Female First

If you're tired of irritating manly habits and moaning and nagging endlessly at your bloke, a change up might be exactly what you need.

If you could change one thing about him what would it be? He does the dishes once in a while, he buys you flowers more, he keeps his beard in check, he makes more effort with your family, he watches sport less?

Endless rom-coms and cheesy chick flicks have given us females the false hope that one day, we will bag the perfect man. It's a drastic thing when you first discover your wonderful Mr Darcy has a mountain of dirty clothes on his bedroom floor which resemble a rubbish pile. Or when your one and only begins blowing you off at weekends because he's in the middle of some time consuming game on the xbox; which of course is a life or death matter and simply cannot be interrupted.

The only thing Mark Darcy was ever guilty of was being too shy to tell Bridget Jones he secretly adored her. He was a top lawyer, he never lazed about watching sport or spent hours on a games console.

Sometimes being the yin to his yang is the reason you're such as good match, but wanting to shake your parter of his manly habits is not uncommon.

You've tried the nagging, which just makes you look grumpy, the begging, and the bargaining (if we just pop round to see my mum and dad you can pick where we go for tea), but still on a daily basis, you end up frustrated over the same things.

It might take some sort of Ryan and Jason swap for you to learn what they learnt, that the grass isn't always greener, and you might end up realising that you're happy with your partner. But mind you, if somebody had the power to take my man and swap him for Ryan Reynolds, I'd be pretty tempted to hand him right over.

We’re celebrating the Blu-ray  & DVD release of The Change-Up on January 23rd, starring the gorgeous Ryan Reynolds by asking readers what you would like to Change-Up in 2012.

In the smash hit comedy The Change-Up, funny man Jason Bateman and heartthrob Ryan Reynolds change lives after peeing in a fountain, and learn that what they once saw as being ‘greener on the other side’ is not as rosy as they had once thought.

And if you had the chance to Change-Up your man, with whom would you most like to ‘Change-Up’ your boyfriend in 2012:

Miranda Kerr (for Orlando Bloom)

Posh (for David Beckham)

Blake Lively (for Ryan Reynolds)

Louise Redknapp (for Jamie Redknapp)

Eva Mendes (for Ryan Gosling)

Angelina Jolie (for Brad Pitt)

Katie Holmes (for Tom Cruise)

Make sure to check back with us next week when we publish the results and determine what women would most like to Change-Up in 2012!
