For those who could be blessed with luck at will would prioritise having more money over falling in love, living a long a healthy life having kids or even getting married.

However 25% of Brits feel that luck comes with a downside- perhaps sacrificing one for the other rather than prioritising. Meaning that if you were to make money your goal you will never fall in love- it's one or the other not both.

Brits also think that bad luck comes in threes so if something goes wrong in someone's relationship- the first hiccup won't be their last.

The study found that the Welsh feel they are the unluckiest in love- so does that mean that they put money on a pedestal? Or is it a way of thinking?

Commenting on the research, psychologist Dr Richard Wiseman says: "It's clear from the research that the nation believes in the power of luck. I believe a determined mind-set helps to create luck for yourself. Unlucky people tend to be creatures of routine, e.g. they tend to take the same route to and from work and move in the same social circles. In contrast, many lucky people try to introduce variety into their lives, or see the positive side of their ill fortune by imagining how things could've been worse."
