Excessive wind!

Excessive wind!

www.ukbathrooms.com has discovered the list of things that put you off a prospective or existing partner, so we take a look at the ultimate turn offs when it comes to dating or living with someone with a nasty habit!

Leaving hairs in the plug – Ok we know you have hair- it sets us apart from one another and makes you all manly and rugged but we don’t need to see the hair in the plughole as some sort of masculine trophy!

Leaving clothes on floor – There is this thing on the floor that decorates it- it’s called a carpet- or laminate flooring, possibly a rug- not clothes- nope clothes are lumpy- actual flooring is flat so you can walk on it and don’t trip- it’s really quite simple!

Leaving nail clippings on floor – It’s bad enough that one smacks me in the face when you cut them on the couch in front of the TV, but why can’t you cut them on a towel and then shake it off outside? Or put them in a nice neat pile? No- you have to make it into a game to see how far you can flick them across the living room!

Having excessive wind– Ok, everyone has to take in air to live and it has to go somewhere, but not onto me when I spoon you in bed. Nor do I want you to fart and then run away leaving me with the smell. Like some alternative game of ‘knock a door and run’ with flatulence- save it for the bathroom where it belongs.

Compulsive cleanliness – If I can’t be in my own home without making a little bit of mess why have my own place at all? Having a clean home is important yes, but if I can’t eat in bed or have the odd duvet day what is the point of living?

Leaving dirty dishes around the house – Why leave them in the sink or in the living room? Just put them in the dishwasher- putting it in the sink NEXT to the dishwasher is really not helping anyone!

Having a mouldy bathroom– Bathrooms are a cesspool of germs- skins shavings, hair, dirt from your body, fluff from the towels, mould from not leaving the window open- it’s a breeding ground- to be clean you must clean!

Leaving the toilet seat up– It does not look neat, it shows laziness- if you can’t even put the seat down then what hope in hell is there that you will wash your hands?

For some daters things off this list can be a deal breaker or it would be number one of their list of things to change. Only a small percentage would try to learn to live with it. Men, surprisingly enough, were the ones who said that they would not entertain dating someone with what they considered to be an off-putting habit.

Peter Gregg, Director of ukBathrooms.com, made the following comment:

“Whilst bad habits that annoy your other half are inevitable in any relationship, it does seem very interesting that the majority of problems highlighted in our findings are focused on bathroom behaviour. Maybe the secret to a perfect relationship is separate bathrooms! The most surprising result of our survey is that men seem to be more put off by a prospective partner’s bad aspects than women are. Whilst this breaks the age-old stereotype that men are slobs, one does have to question how someone could jeopardise a potential relationship for something as trivial as a plug full of hair or a messy floor!”
