What is it?

Parcelgenie is an app that allows you to send anyone in your contact’s a gift. It works by you choosing a gift and then entering the phone number of the person you wish to send it to.

After you’ve done this, the app will send a text to this person asking them for an address which they can send the gift to.

Once Parcelgenie have been given the address, they will then send the gift to your chosen person for you, with a personal message that you requested attached.

It’s ideal for Valentine’s Day and long-distance partners. It saves you the trouble of having to buy the present, get to a post office and send it – the app does all the legwork for you.

We Love:

This app has multiple great features. Firstly, you might have thought that the choice of gifts was going to be pretty limited, but you’d be wrong.

There are 5 different gifting categories, each with a load of gifts to choose from meaning that you’ll easily be able to find something for your loved one.

The payment options are really handy. If you’re on the move then you can simply pay by SMS, although this is slightly more expensive. If you’ve got time on your side you can pay by your Paypal account or by credit/debit card.

Not only can you send gifts to your lover, you can send them to anyone. The app even has a birthday alerts option so you can send your friends and family gifts without the fuss.

You are also given a loyalty card, so the more you use the app the more rewards you’ll get for it – win/win!

When you’re sending the gift you can send a lovely little personalised message with it so the receiver knows who it’s from.

Lastly, it’s really easy to use. It takes minutes to choose your gift and who you’re going to send it to. It’s no fuss and a genius idea.

Downfall:

There is really only one downfall with this app. If you wish to send someone the present as a surprise, you can’t.

It would be great if you had the option to input someone’s address for yourself so that you could give your partner a nice surprise!

Verdict:

Parcelgenie really is a great app. It’s free to download and the posted costs are incredibly reasonable. It does exactly what is says on the tin and will save you a lot of time where gift buying is concerned!
