A Third of Brits Have Never Had A Romantic Meal With Their Partner

This year we’ve hosted the Olympics and Paralympics and celebrated the Jubilee but it appears that us Brits are fed up and feel like our lives are going nowhere.

Groupon have found that a third of Brits have never even had a romantic meal with their partner, but with 75 per cent of us saying we do the same thing week in and week out it comes as little surprise!

One of the reasons our relationships could be suffering is due to 40 per cent of Brits feeling as though they are stuck in a rut and going nowhere, bring our spirits down to a worrying low.

The TV is the biggest form of entertainment for Brits and for two thirds of us, when we do actually leave the house we will stay within a 10 mile radius of our homes.

It gets worse, a small 9 per cent of us say the most exciting thing we’ve done in the last month is go to the pub!

Our relationships with our friends could be suffering due to lack of enthusiasm in the kitchen, as when hosting dinner parties, a quarter of us will stick to the same five familiar recipes.

Despite most of us saying we’re bored with our lives, 50 per cent wish that their life was more interesting.

The contributing factors to us not actually trying the things we’d like to do is through having a lack of money, confidence and time.

Roy Blanga, Managing Director, Groupon UK, says, “With 2013 dubbed ‘the year of nothing’ it’s important that the nation proactively seeks out new activities to try. Groupon’s aim is to make new experiences as accessible and affordable as possible, so whether you whisk your loved one away on a romantic weekend break, take a photography course, or give scuba diving a go, break away from the norm and make 2013 the best it can be.”

So let’s stop making excuses, make time and get out there and do the things we want to do, including making more times for our loved ones!
