So, who is it going to be?

So, who is it going to be?

It seems that, when it comes to office Christmas parties, love really is all around, especially in the broom cupboard.

According to new research from social dating community Zoosk.co.uk, 50.7 per cent of men and 39.3 per cent of women admit to kissing a colleague at the office Christmas party.

And the favoured location for all these office lip locks? Britain is a nation of closet Casanovas with the majority of eschewing the pub mistletoe in favour of the office broom cupboard. Fear not if the storeroom is locked, other steamy locations include the boardroom , the bar and the photocopier room.

With so much festive feeling about, it is unsurprising that Zooskers prefer flying solo when it comes to office parties. The ladies were particularly keen on an unencumbered night out with two out of three women leaving their partners at home.

When it comes to committing the unforgiveable, the majority of women admitted that snogging the boss may leave them scanning the jobs sections. By comparison, men adopt a don’t-hold-back approach with a whopping half declaring they have no shame when it comes to their party antics. Watch out ladies!

Happily for office lotharios and festive revellers, discretion is the better part of valour with 71.3 per cent of men and 78.1 per cent of women keeping their lips tightly sealed… when it comes to office secrets that is. That goes for work aggravation too with 70.8 per cent of Britons refusing to vent workplace frustrations and mar the revelry.

With holidays just around the corner, there’s a lot to celebrate at the office party. Almost a third of Zooskers happily credit the festive spirit for their good humour. For 39.4 per cent it’s all about a different type of spirit with alcohol held largely responsible for the jovial mood.

“The festive season is a time traditionally associated with parties and celebration and, as we can see from this survey, flirting is a key ingredient,” said Jane Barrett, International Marketing Director. “Zoosk’s survey proves that what happens at the party, does indeed stay at the party and it would appear that Britons’ saucy broom-closet behaviours are as traditional as mulled wine and mince pies.”
