Rylan Clark’s Accent Voted Least Attractive
Bad news if you’re from Essex and hoping to get a date, as those who have an Essex accent like Rylan Clark have been voted to have the least attractive accent!
Rylan Clark isn’t the only one who sports a thick Essex twang, other stars such as Mark Wright, Amy Childs and the TOWIE cast are all famous for it.
But it now seems that it isn’t something you’d wish to be known for as an Essex accent has officially been voted as the least attractive accent.
Incredibly, only 1 per cent of people in a RoxyPalace survey said that it was their favourite accent, placing it dead last in the table.
Rylan Clark is originally from Essex and made fame when he got to the semi-finals of the live shows in The X Factor last year.
He was a bit like marmite, you either loved him or hated him but since going into the Celebrity Big Brother house this year, he’s seemed to win over supporters.
It can now be confirmed that the love for Rylan Clark will have very little to do with his accent!
Other accents that were seen to be unattractive are the Brummie accent, as well as the Welsh, Yorkshire and Scouse accents, which all came in the bottom half of the table.
It seems that celebrities dictated how popular an accent was, with Irish being named the most attractive, most likely due to Niall Horan from One Direction and Danny O’ Donoghue from The Script.
The Geordie accent came third with many people citing Cheryl Cole and Ant and Dec as their reason for finding it so attractive.
It looks like Rylan and the TOWIE crew aren’t popular enough to see people changing their perspective on the Essex accent just yet, we’ll have to wait to see if it’s any different next year!
