Research suggests that all women will suffer from a little wear and tear in the Boobs department as we get older, but Breast specialist Ian Laidlaw has said that it can have a psychological impact on women, damaging their confidence and therefore their performance in the bedroom.
There are ways that you can combat the sag, so here are a few tips to keep your Boobs looking pert and young.
Quit The Cigarettes
Just like the skin on your face, the skin on your breasts will also suffer from smoking. Skin is full of collagen and elastin, which over time break down. The renewing process gets slower as we become older and if you smoke, they renew even slower, so your skin loses elasticity and firmness. The loss of this occurs on your breasts just as much as your face, so your breasts are more likely to sag. Even if you have smoked for years and stop, you’ll see an improvement.
Continue To Breastfeed
It’s a common thought that breastfeeding makes the breasts sag, but this isn’t the case. Research shows that it isn’t the breastfeeding, rather the expansion and contraction of the milk glands during pregnancy. A study in American took 132 women who had breast lifts and found that only half of them had breastfeed, showing that it makes no difference if you breastfeed or not.
Watch Your Weight
If your weight is constantly fluctuating, this could dramatically affect the droopiness of your breasts. This is because the breast has two places where fat is stored. Seventy per cent of your breast fat is mixed with the glands to form the main bulk of the bosom, but the other 30 per cent is just under the skin, and this part is what gains and loses weight as you do. If the fat content of this part changes dramatically then the sick is permanently stretched, leading to saggy breasts.
Exercise With Care
It’s important to exercise as it keeps the blood supply flowing, resulting in more pert breasts but be careful as running in particular can damage your breasts. As you run, your breasts move in a figure of eight, which means if your breasts are not supported properly then it can lead to tearing the supporting ligaments. Always wear a good sports bra as they can reduce bounce by up to 74 per cent.
Follow these simply rules and it won’t only be your breasts that benefit, but your confidence and sex life too!
