With the release of Thanks for Sharing today we thought it only natural to look into the habits of the Brits in the bedroom! The average Brits thinks about sex at least 8 times per day and the average man thinks about it 38 times more often than women.
A generous 74% of the population believe that their sexual antics are adventurous with 27% dressing up for their partner in a bid to make things more exciting. Surprisingly 16% of over 55s enjoy dressing up for one another.
The recession has caused havoc for our pockets but has done our love lives wonders as we strive to look for free activities.
42% admitted that when they have sex with their current partner they are actually thinking about someone else and 47% of men think out another woman while they have sex with their partner.
Women were not that different with 37% letting their mind wander to another lover while they are having sex.
Even if our minds are straying, 68% of us would never cheat on our partners and most have had around 10 sexual partners in a lifetime. Women tend to lie more about their sexual partners than men with 20% reducing their actual number of sexual partners in conversation.
41% of over 55 year olds believe that sex is an integral part of their relationships still and 64% still think that they have got adventure in their sex lives even as they are getting older.
So, when people think that we are strangers to affection and are stiff lipped, they are not wrong for the latter! ;)
