What is it?

Every woman knows how stressful planning a wedding can be. There are hundreds of details to get just right and loosing track of anything can be detrimental.

It used to be that women would have to parade around with a clipboard full of ideas and schedules to keep on top of things, not to mention all the mounds of paperwork and magazine clippings that would be waiting at home to greet her.

Now, although wedding planning is still a stressful business, it is a lot easier to take on the go and this is exactly what The Knot allows you to do.

You can do everything from setting a budget to arrange galleries of dresses and cakes. You’ll have your to-do list at the ready and can check it off one the move once you’ve completed something.

It keeps everything safe and is readily available through a few touches, just what you want when planning a wedding.

We Love:

There were plenty of things about this app to love, one of the main things being the budget calculator. Once you’d put your total budget into the app, it then divided up your money and showed you what you should be spending and where.

It’s amazing how many little things you can forget about for the big day so it’s nice to have a list and a budget for everything.

The clipboards are amazing. You can choose which dresses and styles you want for all your guests as well as yourself and put together ideas on the go. It definitely beats having to cut out magazine clippings!

You can do the same with cakes, hairstyles and flowers, so you really can plan the look of your wedding from your phone.

You also have the checklist which will give you lists of things to be doing from 12 months away, right down to the day of your wedding. It’s a really handy tool to have so that you’re not forgetting anything and can stick to a plan.

The guest list manager is great too as it isn’t simply a long name of lists, you can divide it into categories of your family, then your fiancé’s family so it makes everything much easier to manage.

Downfall:

It would be great if you could budget things for yourself so, for example, if you wanted to spend less on photographers but more on rings then you could change your budget in the app.

Another major downfall is that this app is only available in dollars, so you’d have to work out how much you’d be spending in dollars for it to be truly effective. We’re hoping they make a British version of the app soon!

Verdict:

An incredibly handy app to have and pretty much an essential for any bride who is planning her wedding solo. If you’re a little forgetful then you’ll have everything you need to help you through the process of planning a wedding and it will certainly make the journey to the big day a lot easier.
