She gets excited on release day- When she's have been waiting for one of her favourites to land on DVD- release day is like all her birthdays and Christmases rolled into one! She may be distracted at this time.

She's committed- If she does purchase a new boxset- that will be it for your date nights for a while- unless you're willing to join her on our couch for some back to back episodes.

Thou must not interrupt her watching- If you want to talk then let her know so she can pause it- she does not appreciate background noise- concentration is everything so she doesn't miss the tiniest piece of information.

She will re-watch her favourite shows- Yes she has seen every episode of Friends to the point where she can recite the script- but it's her comfort blanket.

They cure all moods- If she's inexplicably down- put on an episode of her favourite sitcom- it will cheer her up far more than talking. If she's cooking, decorating, ironing, or cleaning- a boxset is the ultimate distraction from the monotony.

Gifts are easy- An Amazon voucher will do the trick- she won't think it's boring or a copout- it's credit for the biggest DVD store in the world- what's not to love about that?!

Date nights are cheap- If you begin to love a show as much as her- a home cooked meal, some own brand popcorn and a couple of drinks is all she needs to keep her happy. Meals out and the cinema are all expensively delaying the inevitable.

She will compare your relationship to that of her favourite characters- After a dedicated 10 hours of viewing- real life and fictional life can become a little blurred.
