We will organise your DVD collection- If it's not alphabetised we will spend at least one of our date nights making the world right again. And of course, separate DVDs from Blu-rays and boxsets or the lines will be all mismatched- it just makes good sense. How the hell did you find stuff before?!

We LOVE popcorn

We LOVE popcorn

We like DVDs to sit straight in the box- If you put a DVD back in the box at a 'jaunty' angle- it's not funny- we won't laugh and it will be over right there and then.

We love popcorn- The signature snack in a movie rental place- we used to buy it on the cheap as it was going off or sample it if a new flavour came in. It fills us with nostalgia and we cannot watch a movie without it. Don't come empty handed on movie night dude.

Don't try to match our movie knowledge- If you try- you will fail and look stupid in front of all your friends. You may even want to break up with us over such public humiliation.

Don't mispronounce a movie actor's name- Or try and fudge your way through their name- we really don't appreciate it and we will put you right every time.

We can guess what movie you are talking about from a few clues- Actor? What's it about? Then boom- we know! We are a walking game of Scene It- Movie Edition.

We are angered by movie virgins- You haven't seen THAT movie? Have you been living under a rock?! What the hell did you do in your childhood?

We will fill any gaps in your knowledge- If you haven't seen something we deem to be unmissable we will bring it around on our next date and make you watch it. We will not be romantically involved with movie amateurs.

Don't leave DVDs shiny side down- In fact- just put them AWAY after watching them or they get scratched and dusty- in the early stages of dating this is a deal breaker.

Be cautious about buying movie/ boxset gifts- They must match our existing seasons or the shelf is all out of balance. If we already have the plastic box version- please don't go getting us the cardboard sleeve version or we will resent you for the rest of our relationship. Vouchers work best to avoid such anxiety.
