Being a girlfriend is pretty much an exhausting task, you don’t want to be too clingy but you want to keep your man happy.

With The Oscars happening tonight, why not try and grab the Oscar for best girlfriend by following these very simple tips?

Let The Know You Care

It’s true, men don’t want you draped all over them and clinging to their every word and movement but they do like to know you care.

Even if you just tell them you love them every day or ask about how their day has been and offer to comfort them when they’re down, you’ll earn massive appreciation.

Compromise

Obviously if they’re demanding you to make them a sandwich every ten minutes then you have every right to tell them where to go but there are times when you’ll have to compromise.

If they ask you to do something then offer them a deal, so you’ll make them lunch if they come on a walk with you later, or drop off your dry cleaning?

Be Spontaneous

Don’t wait for him to bring up a suggestion before you both do it, surprise him with little gifts to let him know you’re thinking about him.

By you and him a weekend away or tell him that you’ve got a surprise to show him in the bedroom that night, he’ll be like a kid in a candy shop!

Let Him Know You’re Thinking of Him

If you get a spare 10 minutes on your lunch then why not deliver his favourite lunch to him at work? Not only will this give him a nice surprise but it will show he colleagues how much of a lovely girlfriend he has.

You can also use this to your advantage later on when you want some chocolate from the shop to eat when you’re watching TV.

Give Him Space

This is probably one of the most important aspects of being a great girlfriend. Spending too much time together can run your relationship into the ground so make sure you’re giving each other space.

Let him hang out with the boys on a Saturday, then you can hang out with girls and go on a shopping trip. It’ll give you both something to talk about when you have some down time on the Sunday!
