A third of workers say that they feel regularly distracted at work for up to three hours a day according to thinkmoney. One of the biggest distractions is relationship problems, so we take a look at how being in a couple can affect your focus in other ways too.

Chatting in the office- People often enquire about your beau and you can't help gushing or moaning about them depending on what's going on at home- often they will respond in a similar vein because it's a bonding exercise over your morning beverage.

Slow internet connection or computer- While you wait for it to kick in- your mind wonders to your partner- what's been and what's to come. Relationship daydreams are the best!

Mobile phones- If you are in the early stages of a relationship- a cheeky sext can take your mind off the job and what you might be doing that night or at the weekend with your new lover. For those who have been together a while- a text asking 'what's for dinner?' is more likely- either way you are momentarily distracted while typing.

Online shopping- It's the only chance you get to browse for your partner's birthday gift without them looking over your shoulder, so it makes perfect sense.

Social media- Finding something on Facebook that you know your partner will find really funny and sending it to them to cheer them up.

Emailing your partner- An email in your inbox from your loved one always makes the day a little brighter- and hopefully vice versa. It makes you both remember that whatever happens at work- you still have each other to go home to and make it all better.

Looking out of the window- You ponder over what the view is from their window and if they are thinking about you at that exact same moment.

The building temperature- The warmer it gets the more you long to be sat on a beach with your lover, cocktail in hand and good book.
