Start to shift your cat's schedule so he's used to it when the baby comes- Wake him up in the middle of the of night so he gets used to his sleep being interrupted.
Resist giving him extra attention before the baby comes- Or he will only become complacent and feel the void when the baby's here.
Put pennies in empty cans around the crib- The loud noise will put them off future visits.
Put the baby's things near the cat's things for a few days- So it can get recognise their smell- just nothing that's supposed to be sanitary.
Use some of your baby lotions and creams on yourself- So the cat gets used to the smell, but avoid things for butts on faces.
Buy a CD of baby sounds- And play it during your cat's meals so they become accustomed to the sounds the baby will make.
Poke the kitty- To prepare them from the prods the kid's going to give them when they get a bit older.
Crawl on the floor and play with baby toys- So the cat is prepared for the moves that the baby will make and the things they will play with.
Worry that they won't get along- But ultimately, with all of the above advice- everything will be fine!
