January- A new year- a new you- and a new you can be anything- losing weight, doing more exercise, eating healthier or kick-starting your love life.

February- Valentine’s day sparks many people to find someone to date on the most romantic night of the year. And if it lasts- what a story that would be!

March- The Valentine’s day highs have not yet worn off and people are looking for that second, third and fourth date with their valentine or New Year romance.

April- The peaks of New Year and valentines have been spread too thin by this point and dating takes a nose dive. Plus it’s Easter and chocolate is far more interesting than a man.

May- Dating falls to its lowest of the year in May- the weather is still not great and Christmas, New Year and valentines are a distant memory. And still trying to lose that stubborn Easter weight.

June- Is pretty average as people distract themselves with prepping for holidays rather than their love lives. Bring on the swimsuit shopping!

July- In the beginning of July, dating levels remain average, however as people ready themselves for summer- they begin to search for that special person to share a bench with in the beer garden.

August- As people get more time off the end of August sees a rise in people wanting to enjoy the last signs of summer with a significant other.

September- The excitement of the August boom carries through till early September- but then people neglect their loves lives as its time to knuckle down at work after the summer frivolities.

October- The weather is miserable, the nights are dark and sitting at home with a DVD and a take away seem far more appealing than wrapping up and going out on a date.

November- People begin to think about the man in the red suit coming to their town and for women- this requires a lot of planning from November onwards. There is no room for men- our heads are filled with budgets, gift choices, wrapping paper, cards and Christmas dinner.

December- Men and women are too preoccupied with their Christmas engagements and getting everything ready for the big day to notice being single. However as soon as that is out of the way- there is a scramble to find a date for New Year and the cycle begins all over again!
