Duchess Catherine

Only 11 per cent of the British public would like to swap places with Britain's Duchess of Cambridge.

A new survey has found that 89 per cent of people from the UK would not like to experience the life of the 32-year-old royal for even just one day.

The YouGov poll commissioned by the US magazine Newsweek found that 32 per cent would not like to be Catherine, but would like to be friends with her, where as 15 per cent would "never want to know" her.

66 per cent of men said they didn't want to be her friend, husband or boyfriend, six per cent said they'd like to be married to her and another six per cent said they would like to be dating her.

The survey, which was carried out on 100 people, also discovered that 64 per cent of applicants viewed her as "attractive", while 51 per cent considered her "kind" and only three per cent believe she is "lazy."

The results also found that 43 per cent of people think she represents "a step forward for women," while 65 per cent believe she's a role model for young girls.

Meanwhile, following the news that Catherine, who was known as Kate Middleton before she married William in 2011, is expecting her second child, only 36 per cent believe she has "control and ownership over her body."
