Tourist attraction Madame Tussauds have announced plans to unveil replica Duchess Catherine waxworks in four of their centres.

Britain's Duchess Catherine is to be immortalised in wax - four times.

The duchess - who is married to Prince William - will see replicas of herself placed in Madame Tussauds London, Blackpool, New York, and Amsterdam, with each model donning a different outfit.

The London waxwork will be placed next to that of Prince William and will be wearing a copy of the blue Issa dress she wore when the couple announced their engagement and a replica of her engagement ring.

The model in Blackpool, North West England, will wear a Jenny Packham dress, while the New York figure will don replica Alexander McQueen and in Amsterdam the waxwork will wear a lace Alice Temperley gown.

A spokeswoman for the Madame Tussauds said: "Madame Tussauds enjoys a close relationship with the British Royal Family dating back to William IV who was monarch when the first attraction opened in London in 1835."

The models - which cost £150,000 each to produce - will be unveiled in April ahead of Catherine and William's first wedding anniversary.
