Duchess Catherine hasn't ruled out running the London Marathon next year.

While her brother-in-law Prince Harry was thought to be joking when he revealed Catherine and her husband Prince William will join the competitors at the long-distance running event in 2013, the royal revealed they have been considering it.

A source told People magazine: "It seems that it may be something they will do in due course."

However, Catherine - previously Kate Middleton - admitted it would be a challenge, as she is more of a "short distance runner" and said the pair would have to get revenge on Prince Harry for leaking the plans.

She told a guest at a Royal British Legion event at Goldsmiths' Hall, in London yesterday (26.04.12): "I'm more of a short distance runner. My sister's more of a longer-distance runner.

"I think William's going to have to do something to get him back."

Prince Harry let the couple's plans slip when he presented medals at the marathon in London on Sunday and said: "I have been trying to get myself a place for years. I can't get myself a place. What do you have to do?

"What's fantastic is that my brother and his wife will be doing it next year, I think. He's going to have to now, isn't he?"
