Britain's Duchess Of Cambridge has a "real sense of elegance", according to fashion house Paule Ka.

Serge Cajfinger, the man behind the brand, is delighted the royal beauty chose to wear their burgundy skirt suit to the Middle Temple Treasury to launch a scholarship for law students last week (09.10.12), and he had no idea he was going to be styling Catherine.

When asked when he found out he would be dressing the duchess - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her wedding to Prince William last year - Serge said: "A few days before the opening of my Mount Street store, it was a wonderful gift.

"The duchess is young, beautiful and has a real sense of elegance. I am very happy she wears Paule Ka, she is both a princess and a modern woman."

The designer - who is gearing up to open his London Paule Ka boutique - thinks the brunette beauty's grace and poise make her an ideal spokesperson for the brand and said her ability to handle herself in difficult situations - such as the recent publication of topless paparazzi shots of her - makes the 30-year-old royal a class act.

He added to Grazia magazine: "She knows how to behave and she also has the know-how in any circumstances which could be the definition of the Paule Ka woman."

When asked what other Paule Ka designs Catherine should wear, Serge added: "The embroidered black and white dress from the Black Carpet collection I designed this year. I am sure she would look stunning in this evening dress."
