Britain's Duchess of Cambridge has been learning how to keep fit with her grandfather-in-law, 90-year-old Prince Philip.
The Duchess of Cambridge is getting fitness tips from 90-year-old Prince Philip.
Catherine - who married Britain's Prince William in a star-studded ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29 - has been getting help from the senior royal as she decides how to redecorate the couple's new apartment in Kensington, London, and Philip has also been sharing his exercise routine with her.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kate is really touched. It's a sign that senior royals are keen to make sure new members fit in.
"Prince Philip wanted to make sure the pressures weren't getting to her. He's even been sharing tips about his exercise routine with Kate. He is 90 but still tries to keep fit.
"And he is helping to redesign their kitchen using natural woods and Welsh slate. When he went round to visit he got out a pen and started sketching ideas."
Catherine - who spends most of her time in North Wales, where William works as an RAF search and rescue pilot - is believed to be very pleased with Philip's ideas about the kitchen re-fit.
The source added: "His designs are very practical, much more practical than the sometimes fanciful ideas of the top designers. They have been well received.
"Having Philip's approval is vital. He is the longest serving British royal consort, a role for which Kate is being groomed. She's done well to win his favour."
Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth have been married for 63 years and has been her official royal consort for 59 years.
