Britain's Duchess of York is reportedly in talks with Oprah Winfrey to do a new documentary series about her tough childhood and being ''abandoned'' by her mother.
Britain's Duchess of York is in talks to appear in a documentary series with Oprah Winfrey.
Sarah Ferguson - the ex-wife of Prince Andrew - is set to feature in a six-part series about her troubled teenage years for the famous talkshow host's new cable channel.
The series is set to depict how mum-of-two Sarah was "abandoned" by her own mother Susan at age 13 - when she left for Argentina, leaving Sarah to live with her father Ronald in Hampshire - and the "devastating" effect it had on her life.
A friend of the 50-year-old former royal told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "The programme would be about the healing process.

"She will interview various professionals who help people come to terms with the same sort of devastating problems that she endured when she was 13. She hopes that the programme would help others."
Show bosses had previously confirmed they were in talks with Fergie about starring in a documentary, and the billionaire's new network OWN - a joint venture between herself and the Discovery Channel - is now set to launch on January 1 next year.
The news comes after the former royal appeared on Oprah's show in May to publicly apologise for being caught out by an undercover reporter attempting to sell access to Prince Andrew for £500,000.
The cash from the series would also help pay off some of Fergie's £5million debt.
Last month, an OWN spokesperson confirmed: "We have had initial conversations with Sarah Ferguson about a docu-series, not a talk show, but there is nothing to announce at this time."
