Nepal's King Gyanendra and Queen Komal attended a Bollywood wedding on Monday (28.01.08).
The royal couple were guests at the wedding of Siddarth Koirala, the grand nephew of Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, and Yulia Wekitova, at Kathmandu's Soaltee Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The groom, an aspiring Bollywood actor himself, is also brother to Bollywood star Manisha Koirala.
Siddarth donned the traditional attire of daura-suruwal - a long shirt and tight trousers - along with a Nepali cap and traditional garland of grass for the ceremony.
The Kazakh bride was also dressed in traditional clothes, wearing a red embroidered sari.
This is the third high-profile wedding King Gyanendra has attended since the Nepalese government voted to strip him of most of his political powers.
The king has been reduced to a ceremonial figure after the government took over the property of slain king Birendra and his family.
