King Juan Carlos' grandson is recovering well in hospital after shooting himself in the foot.
Don Felipe Juan Froilan - son of the Duchess of Lugo, Infanta Elena - was injured after misfiring a rifle, and the royal family have been rallying around him as he makes a recovery in a hospital in Soria, Northern Spain.
Felipe, 13, misfired into his right foot while walking, and it is thought the safety catch of the gun may have been off when the accident occurred on Monday (09.04.12).
Princess Letizia and Crown Prince Felipe brought their daughters Sofia and Leonor to see their cousin.
Queen Sofia also visited, alongside Infanta Elena.
As she left the hospital she told Hello! magazine: "Felipe is doing great. Children recover quickly."
Infanta Elena added: "He's already playing with his father's mobile phone. He'll be out of hospital in a few days, that's what the doctors say."
Meanwhile, a judge has ordered the launch of an investigation into the incident and called for the questioning of the boy's father, Jaime de Marichalar, as he was under his care at the time of the accident. The matter warrants investigation as under Spanish law children have to be over 14 to apply for a licence to shoot a firearm. He could face a fine of up to 3,000 Euros for the offence.
