Britain's Prince Harry will watch women's beach volleyball at the London Olympics in his role as an official ambassador for the games.

Britain's Prince Harry will watch women's beach volleyball at the London Olympics.

The 27-year-old prince, his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Duchess Catherine are Olympic Ambassadors and want to use their official roles to highlight less high-profile events.

They've indicated a desire to throw light on some of the less high-profile events.

While Harry will watch the beach volleyball, William has expressed an interest in water polo, with his wife interested in hockey, rowing and athletics.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "The three young royals will add a bit of magic to the Games and we are hoping they will attend as many events as possible.

"They've indicated a desire to throw light on some of the less high-profile events."

There had previously been doubt over whether Harry would be able to attend the Olympics or take part in celebrations for his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee because of his training to become an Apache helicopter pilot.

However, a source recently said: "Harry will be going to Kenya for further training, but it will be in the last quarter of 2012.

"He will now be around for the Jubilee and the Olympics - which he is happy about. Before then, his training will involve lots of low-level flying."
