The brunette beauty became a worldwide star this year thanks to the figure-hugging white bridesmaid dress she wore at the wedding of her sister Duchess Catherine to Prince William. Now she has joined the likes of the Kardashian family, Simon Cowell, Katy Perry and businessman Donald Trump in Barbara Walters' annual list.

Other celebrities making up the top 10 most prominent names in entertainment, sport and pop culture include baseball star Derek Jeter, and 'Modern Family' actors Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Barbara will announce the number one most fascinating person of 2011 when the 90-minute show 'Barbara Walters Presents the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011' airs on ABC on December 14.

Pippa's popularity soared after she stepped out in her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown, which showcased her pert posterior and she is now so in demand, a film is even being made about her life.

Odyssey Videos - who have rushed to put a 50 minute documentary about the younger sister of Britain's Duchess of Cambridge into production - have revealed they have been inundated with requests to make a feature length biopic on the 28-year-old beauty.

Founder Adrian Munsey said: "We are rushing a 50-minute documentary dedicated solely to Pippa into production straight away.

"All the other Royal Family members have had well-documented lives, but now we are being inundated with requests to make a biopic about Pippa after the wedding.

"She was such a tour de force, holding her own on Catherine's wedding day and looking after those small children.

"Pippa is the beautiful girl-next-door who every woman wants to be."
