Britain's Prince Andrew has flown into North Wales to open a specialist cancer unit of a local hospital.Andrew, the Duke of York, arrived by helicopter to open the 'Shooting Star' unit, the result of months of funding by people across the country. One of the charity trustees said they were delighted the prince had made the trip to pay tribute to those who had raised the money. He said: "We are thrilled His Royal Highness has agreed to open the unit. This building would not have been possible without the support and commitment of the people of North East Wales and surrounding areas and I am delighted we have this chance to again recognise their hard work and to express our sincere thanks, on behalf of the patients and staff."Prince Andrew, the second son of Queen Elizabeth, visited a local school and factory before travelling to the hospital to officially open the unit, which aims to treat patients with the latest medical technologies.0Comments | Be the first to comment!
