Prince Charles has been giving tips on speech writing to the Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince William's wife has undertaken a number of royal engagements while he is in the Falkland Islands completing training as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, and has received tips from her father-in-law ahead of her first public address at a Children's hospice next week, according to the Daily Star newspaper.

The prince and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, are said to have been helping guide the 30-year-old beauty in her transition from Kate Middleton as she was known before her wedding last April, to a member of the royal family.

Charles and Camilla will also take their daughter-in-law with them today (14.03.12) as they meet school children on a visit to the Great Art Quest at Dulwich Gallery in London.

The visit is bound to appeal to Catherine, a history of art graduate, and Charles, who loves painting watercolours.

The visit will promote the prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts, which seeks to give young people from deprived areas access to culture.
