Britain's Prince Charles met 150 soldiers from the Royal Gurkha Rifles yesterday (30.04.12).
The first-in-line to the throne dressed in full Gurkha Rifles uniform to meet the military personnel and their family at the Sir John Moore Barracks in Folkestone, Kent, and handed out operational service medals.
Corporal Harribahadar Budha Magar, who has served in Sierra Leone and Kosovo and has prosthetic legs, said it was an "honour" to see him.
He said: "It's a pleasure and an honour to see him. He asked me how I was coping with my legs. They are fantastic. They are better than nothing, better than a wheelchair. He said, 'Can you demonstrate how you use them?' "
Discussing his medal, he said: "He is the commanding officer so I am very pleased. I am here in my uniform which I am very proud of. I have met him six times and he is nice every time."
Upon his arrival, Prince Charles was presented with a Royal Gurkha Rifles garland by a group of Nepalese children and laid a wreath at the batalion's memorial.
