Britain's Prince Charles and his new wife Camilla Parker Bowles will make their first royal visit since they were married at the weekend.Prince Charles and his new wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, will open a children's playground tomorrow (13.04.05) in what will be the duchess's first official royal engagement.Royal insiders have revealed that Charles will hand over the honour of cutting the ribbon to his new wife who will then declare Deeside Park officially open and royal watchers believe the decision to make the modest ceremony Camilla's first royal engagement was made as early as January Lindsay Smith, the founder of the charity which built the park, said locals were looking forward to catching a glimpse of the new royal and were honoured to be hosting her first engagement. She said: "Charles couldn't have chosen a better introduction to royal duty for his new wife. The people of Deeside were among the very first to accept Camilla into the fold."Meanwhile, a signed photo of Camilla auctioned at a charity event has made less money than a pile of dung. The photograph, which was donated by the Duchess to raise money for the preservation of a historic garden, fetched just £15 while 12 tonnes of 15-year-old horse manure fetched £70.Jacqui Mitchell, who organised the auction said: "The Duchess's items were among the last things that she signed as Camilla Parker Bowles. "But the most interest was in the manure - it is very hard to come by at this sort of age."0Comments | Be the first to comment!
