Britain's Prince Charles is to be welcomed in the town of Todmorden, West Yorkshire, to see its new sustainable development project.

The town of Todmorden in West Yorkshire is preparing to receive Britain's Prince Charles as part of a UK tour.

His ideas on sustainability have a lot in common with what we are doing here already. It will be interesting to find out what he thinks of Todmorden after he's been.

The monarch is visiting the town as part of a week-long tour, and will pay a trip to Todmorden town centre to see a sustainable development project entitled Incredible Edible Todmorden (IET).

Paul Clarke, from the project, told the Todmorden News: "IET is a group that is actually doing things in the town so it's good for Prince Charles to visit Todmorden to see a community project in action.

"His ideas on sustainability have a lot in common with what we are doing here already. It will be interesting to find out what he thinks of Todmorden after he's been."

Prince Charles will visit the town on the royal train, which is taking him to UK cities including Glasgow, Bristol, Newcastle, Nottingham and Birmingham.

The train runs on sustainable bio-fuel, and the prince will be joined by his wife the Duchess of Cornwall for the trip.
