Britain's Prince Edward was threatened by a man brandishing a fake gun while on a royal visit.
The Earl of Wessex was touring a car manufactures in Shropshire when his bodyguards spotted the man acting suspiciously and wrestled him to the ground.
The prince was visiting Bridgnorth's Grainger and Worrall to present the firm with the Queen's Award for Industry.
A Grainger and Worrall spokesman said: "As quick as it happened it was over. It was just some guy who thought it would be fun to walk around with a pretend gun."
Manager's at the firm said the gunman had been seen acting suspiciously close to the prince's helicopter before the visit.
Royal security then saw him brandishing the imitation firearm while Edward was getting a tour the factory.
Protection officers tackled the man immediately and escorted him out.
