Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and his wife Princess Mary have been spotted at a rock concert.

The royal couple - who have two young children - enjoyed a rare night out on their recent trip to Vietnam.

Tasmanian-born Mary and the prince were snapped laughing and joking as they spent some quality time with each other at the concert in Hue, south of Hanoi.

They were gazing into each other's eyes and laughing. As busy parents, they have little time to spend together and you could tell they were enjoying every minute they had to themselves.

The duo has joined Frederik's parents Queen Margrethe II and her husband Henrik on a 10-day tour of Vietnam.

The foursome has made the trip to revisit Henrik's much-loved childhood home in the country.

Their children Prince Christian, three, and two-year-old Princess Isabella are being looked after Mary's father - Scottish-born John Donaldson.

The young royals looked "happy and relaxed" as they enjoyed a trip out to an imaginary fox hunt in Denmark with their doting grandfather last week.
