Denmark's Prince Frederik outshined his pregnant wife Princess Mary at a memorial concert by wearing an electric blue suit.
The royal was snapped in the eccentric outfit - which included a red and white striped tie - at the late Queen Ingrid's 100th birthday in Copehagen yesterday (31.08.10).
Australian-born Princess Mary - who is expecting twins in January - also wowed the crowd in a sparkly black dress with flower and leaf design and peep-toe shoes.
Mary usually steals the show but Frederik really outshone everyone else in his shiny electric blue suit
An onlooker said: "Mary usually steals the show but Frederik really outshone everyone else in his shiny electric blue suit. He is usually quite conservative so it was quite a surprise. Mary looked stunning and still has an enviable figure despite being pregnant with twins."
Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary - who already have two children Christian, four, and three-year-old Isabella - announced their happy news last month, but denied suggestions the princess had fallen pregnant after undergoing IVF fertility treatment.
They said in a statement: "It's a natural pregnancy."
The princess is expected to give birth to the twins in January in Rigshospitalet, the Danish national hospital in Copenhagen.
