Britain's Prince Michael of Kent is auctioning items worth an estimated £1 million.
The prince and his siblings, the present Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, are selling a number of pieces which belonged to their parents Prince George, the former Duke of Kent, and his wife Princess Marina.
Items including silverware, paintings, jewellery and furniture are to be sold at London auction house Christie's later this year.
A picture painted by Queen Victoria of her three-year-old daughter Louise is expected to go for as much as £15,000.
A necklace which has pictures of Victoria, husband Prince Albert and their nine offspring has a price tag of £700.
A diamond broach could go for £400, while a chair used during the coronation of King George VI in 1937 is estimated at £30,000.
The Duke of Kent died in 1942 aged 39 in a plane crash. His wife passed away in 1968, aged 61, after suffering with an inoperable brain tumour.
Prince and Princess Michael of Kent have to start paying £120,000 rent for their Kensington Palace home from next year.
Previously, Queen Elizabeth had provided their rent.
