DJ Sam Young believes Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine's wedding has made nuptials "cool again".
More than 78,000 wedding playlists have been created on digital music service Spotify since the royal couple tied the knot on April 29, 2011, and the celebrity disc jockey believes couples are "desperate" to recreate the royal pair's nuptials.
Sam - who played at Lord Frederick Windsor's marriage last year, which was attended by the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge - said: "Ever since Catherine and William got married last year, weddings have become cool again.
"The rumours about their wedding party exploits dominated the press - apparently party-lover Harry created the reception playlist for them - and now all couples are desperate to recreate that buzz."
Sam and Spotify have compiled an ultimate Royal Wedding playlist, including a selection of the best tracks from William and Catherine's big day, to mark the royal couple's one-year anniversary on Sunday (29.04.12).
As well as traditional songs 'Jerusalem' and 'God Save The Queen', Rihanna's 'Rude Boy' and Lady Gaga's hit 'Poker Face' both feature in the royal marriage selection - and Sam believes people are more inclined to choose "ultimate party" songs rather than slow tunes for nuptials nowadays.
He added: "Although at first it might seem surprising that songs about sex and getting trashed are topping wedding playlists, from my experience I know that couples are more concerned with throwing the ultimate party for their guests than slow-dancing the night away."
