Britain's Prince William exchanged smiles with Duchess Catherine as he marched past her at the Order of the Garter event yesterday (18.06.12).
The royal - a Royal Garter Knight - his father Prince Charles and Prince Edward donned lavish blue velvet robes and Garter Order hats topped with feathers for the procession and looked on as their wives Catherine, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, waited together for the princes to walk past.
Prince Philip - who turned 91 earlier this month - also marched along proudly just two weeks after being released from hospital after suffering from a bladder infection.
The Duke of Edinburgh joined Queen Elizabeth for the half-a-mile walk from Windsor Castle to St George's Chapel for the procession, which also featured the Royal Garter Knights and was watched by 6,000 spectators.
Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her and William's nuptials last year - was spotted laughing and joking with Sophie and Camilla as they watched the ceremony unfold.
An hour-long service was then held at the chapel to celebrate the ancient order of chivalry before William and Catherine shared a carriage ride with Charles and Camilla back up to the castle grounds.
